Welcome to The Henderson building! As you step into the G/F lobby, you'll be greeted by a breathtaking light installation that brings the grand lobby to life. This mesmerizing piece, titled In Bloom, was designed by Michaela Mertlová of Lasvit, a prestigious glassmaking company based in Prague.

In Bloom consists of 188 exquisite glass panels artfully arranged to resemble a blossoming flower. Each petal has been precisely cut, shaped, and sandblasted to replicate the iridescent sparkle found in the wings of butterflies and dragonflies. As sunlight filters through the delicate glass, it creates a beautiful effect, making the light seem to “flutter” around the space.

Mertlová drew inspiration from her hikes in Hong Kong when designing this installation, intending for it to harmonize with the flowing, organic shapes envisioned by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid for The Henderson. Weighing over 2,000 kilograms, this remarkable light fixture is suspended from a single point in the ceiling, showcasing exceptional engineering. Despite its considerable weight, In Bloom appears to float effortlessly, a stunning visual centerpiece that warmly welcomes you to The Henderson.
